The CSN Foundation has education as the basis of all its social actions and relates directly to CSN’s human resources, sustainability and institutional relations areas to put the initiatives into practice. The CSN Foundation aims to be CSN’s social link with the communities around the places where the Company operates, acting as a transformation agent. His main approaches are in the areas of education, culture, sport and environment. An important feature is the partnership with the government, as the Foundation often receives children referred by the Reference Centers in Social Assistance (CRAS).
Some Vocational Education projects that the Foundation currently supports are the Centro de Educação Tecnológica (CET) in Congonhas (MG); the Escola Técnica Pandiá Calógeras in Volta Redonda (RJ) and the Hotel-Escola Bela Vista, also in Volta Redonda (RJ).
CSN sponsors projects from partner institutions through incentive laws such as the Grupo de Apoio ao Adolescente e à Criança com Câncer (GRAAC), Hospital do Câncer de Barretos, Memorial da Imigração Judaica and the Hospital Albert Einstein. The CSN Foundation manages the Bela Vista and Vila Business hotels and the Clube Recreio, in Volta Redonda (RJ). All financial results of the projects are reverted to the execution of social projects of the Foundation.
